Scilab Enterprises

Scilab is the reference free numerical computation software for engineering and scientific applications. Originally based on research at Inria (the French Research Institute for Computer Science and Automatic Control), Scilab software is now developed and published in an exclusive way by Scilab Enterprises Company: this Company provides all kinds of services and products to help industrial people to use Scilab.
Today, the main customers of Scilab Enterprises are in the domain of Aerospace (AIRBUS Group, CNES, Dassault Aviation), Energy (EDF, CEA) and Defense (THALES).
In the presentation we first explain briefly the organization and the business model of Scilab Enterprises. Then we review the situation of Scilab software. We describe the latest Scilab version, including Xcos, the user-friendly, GUI-based editor for modeling and simulating hybrid dynamical systems.
At last, we show how Scilab can be used for making comprehensive industrial applications using external modules including programs and friendly GUI. As an illustration, we present industrial applications.
