Lorenza Franzino
Born in Turin and graduated at Politecnico University of Turin, she spent 23 years of her professional life in Olivetti, participating and contributing to the important transformation of this company, as the prestigious joint venture with Canon and the creation of new industrial activities and businesses out of the company reconversion process, thus maintaining its roots in the local territory.
She is now the Responsible for High Speed and Main Line Business Unit at AnsaldoBreda SpA, a Finmeccanica company.
Lorenza Franzino is also the President of DITECFER Scarl (Distretto Toscano per le Tecnologie Ferroviarie, l’Alta Velocità e la Sicurezza delle Reti) and Vice President of Confindustria Pistoia, delegated to Great Enterprises and Innovation.

Railways grew as a part of Nations’ military strategy, conceived in a defense perspective. Due to this situation the European Transport Network became the opposite of the concept of the network.
